LYNAE® Chitosan is derived from chitin, a polysaccharide found in the exoskeleton of shellfish such as shrimp, lobster, and crabs.  Chitosan is an insoluble, non-digestive fiber that bonds with up to 12 times its weight in fatty oils in a process known as polymerization. Chitosan is a “Fat Binder” which has the capability to interact with lipids (fat) from the digestive system and limit their absorption in the body, thus decreasing the accumulation of fat in the body.*
